I know, I know, I'm meant to be working, but rather than slacking off, I'm publicly announcing my current word count in an effort to spur me on to greater word production! The dissertation from Hell currently weighs in at:

Garbled mess that needs to be split into chapters at some point before the end of the millennium: 8,685
It sucks that I've already had three days off ya'll!
...I'm really gonna regret doing that aren't I?
