Bit of Skirt
I got my new skirt that I ordered today! It's fab, my sister's jealous of it which is always the test, and it goes great with my boots. The boots give me leccy shocks, which is pretty annoying! Maybe it was just because I stuffed my jeans in them though? Could this cause static? I don't know. It's a mystery. In study news, I drew an excellent spider diagram today planning the introduction and probable first chapter of my essay. It's a shame to have to elaborate on it really. Are there degrees in spider diagrams? Maybe I could plan peoples essay's for them for a small fee. Plans for later include filling in job applications. A necessary evil if I ever want a place of my own. And I do. Every time I see a home magazine I can't help picking out throw pillows and crockery. I'm a bit of a strange 22 year old. Perhaps I should get a job as an interior designer. Or, more achievably, as a waitress in a Greek restaurant, where I could theoretically order new plates to my hearts content. There was other news too but it's of such magnitude I've forgotten it.

Where for art thou?
Howdy. Not much to report. Yesterday brought a visit to the Tate. It was freezing cold walking around the dock but it was bright and the city looked gorgeous. Days like that make me appreciate living here. Anyway. I can't remember the name of the artist but one of the pieces of art was a guy standing on a box in London sucking helium and singing religious hymns. Creepy. One of the lines was 'all the little children' or something similar in this really eerie voice. I'll have nightmares about it! This little weird voice could be heard from the room with all the Picasso's and stuff in too. I was wondering what it was for ages. I think I prefer the Walker gallery, but it's nice to see different things. Then, food! I've stuffed myself silly this past week. It has to stop! Went into uni the other day too. Got inspired, almost. Planning lots of study days for next week. No, really this time.

Valentine in the City
Tuesday afternoon, the perfect time to catch up after a fun-filled weekend. Liverpool held it's Chinese New Year celebrations this weekend gone, so on Sunday we moseyed on down to Chinatown, a little later than planned because we couldn't face the gale-force winds (it felt like) and opted for bacon sarnies in the warm, cozy kitchen instead. But we finally got there and caught some of the dragons and firecrackers; it was lots of fun but also freezing. We poked around the bombed-out church too, and noticed the memorial to the Irish Famine for the first time. Well, we've only lived here all our lives! Doh! I think it's a fairly recent addition though, as in the last ten years. I couldn't read the plaque properly because boyfy was antsy and wanting to flee. I'll have to go back without him.
I was glad I didn't wear my new boots because there were so many red streamers on the ground in Chinatown and surrounding streets; I predict these would have stained said boots. Boots were purchased on Saturday after much hunting for the perfect style and price. They were a bargain which always warms my heart! We spent some time wandering up and down Bold Street, wondering where all the coffee houses came from. We hadn't wandered up there in a while! Found a cute card shop up there too, handy for Valentines since all the regular card shops were bedlam. I'm going to make it my regular card-buying place, since none of my mates or family go there and I'll always have original cards that way. We hit Nando's for tea - it was delish but the waitress bugged us since she didn't want us sitting in the smoking area, told us 'OK, fine' in a sarky voice when we asked for a table there and then slammed an ashtray down in front of us! Our smoking friend then didn't smoke just to wind her up, which we thought was funny, even though he was gasping. I used to be a waitress, I don't get her displeasure. It was that cold I put my newly purchased jumper on for the trek back to the car.
Valentines Day was a treat. Went for lunch to beat the evening rush, Italian. Had a bit of a shop but didn't buy anything except food for later and pressie for boyf. Cooked a yummy Chinese meal, opened a bottle of Champers and had an early night! Now we're about to take our baby puppy for a walk. Weather's improved, it's even sunny! Hope everyone had as nice a Valentines as me, especially all you lot who get married on the day, like Dot and Jim from Easties!

Self Improvement
Woo hoo! I'm on a New Years resolution role. Three days is the longest any of them lasted I think! Except the one I made about learning to drive, I actually followed that one through - yey me! I didn't quite squeeze it into the same year I made the resolution though, I passed my test in like the first or second week of the following January! My next big resolution is going to be to learn to swim, not this year though, far too busy! My main form of exercise this year is going to be dance; a couple of years ago I zoned in on yoga but it bored the crap outta me. That and I couldn't stop singing Geri Halliwell songs *shudder* Shudder for my singing voice, not for Geri, honest!

Coffee House
I just made a pot of coffee and am waiting for my sexy man to get out of bed so we can make pancakes. It's such a rock 'n' roll lifestyle I lead! See how romantic that is though? It's like a scene after a good date on Sex and the City! I'm gearing up for Valentines Day. I still don't know what to do for that though, or what gift to give. What do boys like? Hmmmm... I can think of a few obvious things. I'm talking about socks so get your mind out of the gutter! Haha. My helpful pals down at the library, I know you're reading this, you bunch of skivers - any suggestions would be very welcome, I'll be in on Sunday to renew my books!
Anyway. I'm waffling already. Better go and kick my boyf's ass out of bed so I can see him before I send him off to work. Then I've got a date with said books so I can finally get moving on the monster essay I'm supposed to be working on. Literary theory sucks.

Tuesday Morning
It's early Tuesday morning. I have this annoying cold that rather cruelly won't let me sleep through its yuckifying effects. My poor baby puppy has one too. I call him a puppy but he's really not, but he's still little and cute so I think he qualifies :) I have zero plans for today even though there are lots of things I should be doing, I have like six months of studying to catch up on and a wardrobe explosion in my bedroom. I still can't believe Christmas is over and we're in the second month of 2005! So, my lovely friend David told me to start up a blog, and here I am. It was my New Years resolution, well, one of a bunch of resolutions, so I'm a bit late. My other ones are generally more philosophical, things like living a more full life, the kind of resolution you make nearly every other day truth be known. My cold has put paid to that one for the past week or so too! It's really thrown me off my natural rhythm; I woke up at 5 am this morning with the desire to go out dancing. I have unworn outfits in my wardrobe, I blame them, that always bugs me.
